Meet Ian & Sam

Ian Davies & Sam Love, Port Fairy Coffee Roasters

Ian Davies and Sandra Love (Sam) moved to Port Fairy after falling for regional Victoria’s scenic coastal town and the wonderful community that accompanies it.

They later took over the Great Coffee Moments mobile coffee van business that has been operating from Port Fairy for well over 20 years.

In 2021 Port Fairy Coffee Roasters opened its doors, releasing their very own specialty coffee blends. The bricks and mortar takeaway coffee shop is the first ever coffee roasters in Port Fairy’s history.

In April 2023 the roastery diversified further, opening a Food and Retail Store next door. Port Fairy Coffee Roasters stock delicious treats, meals, coffee accessories and gifts to compliment the fabulous coffee and freshly roasted beans next door, enriching Port Fairy’s options for quality coffee and related products.

We look forward to meeting you in store soon, or in a van at an event nearby!

Great Coffee Moments

You will see our Great Coffee Moments vans at weekly Port Fairy Community Markets, caravan parks, at Griffiths Island (in peak periods), and catering at regional events across Victoria.

“We like to bump in long before the main event starts so we are ready to serve event organisers and fellow market stall holders with a much needed coffee to kick start the day. We love getting out and about to bring you exceptionally good coffee, friendly reliable service and hassle free bookings” _ Sam Love

Great Coffee Moments

With 3 commercial grade registered vehicles, we predominantly operate at community events such as markets, local sports comps and festivals. The business has been operating for 20+ years.

Events

GCM attends over 240 events across Victoria (and beyond) each year. We can handle any size crowd from door to door single cup delivery at your workplace to 15,000 festival goers at the Port Fairy Folk Festival or 5000 keen bike riders on the Great Victorian Bike Ride. We service the May Racing Carnival in Warrnamabool, Halls Gap’s Grape Escape. And, on cold blustery winters days, you'll find us serving tummy warmers, and cheering on our local sporting clubs, or at the Port Fairy Community Market.

We cater for all types of events… from a coffee by the beach to serving thousands of patrons at a festival,
